Nithi Mountain Log Homes is a family run log home building company owned by Ray and Therese Steiner. We are located in the heart of British Columbia, Canada, an area known for its high quality wood. Our building yard is just south of the town of Fraser Lake, nestled between the larger centres of Prince George to the east, and Smithers to the west.
For generations, the Steiner family has worked in the forests of Northern BC, and Ray continues the tradition as he works with wood to build beautiful homes. Through the years, Ray has earned the reputation of being honest and hardworking by providing top quality products at a fair price. He has worked with wood in many ways from logging to sawmilling, from building furniture to cabins and homes. Ray received training from log building legend B. Allan Mackie and looks forward to building each new log home.
We specialize in custom, hand-crafted round log with saddle notch corners and chinked-style timber homes with dovetail corners. We do not build kit homes or machined homes but rather focus on each customer's wants so that each home is a unique, top quality home. We strive to stay current with the latest innovations in log home building to make your home as energy efficient as possible. As a small business we are able to treat each home we build with individual attention. We work closely with you and offer the level of support you desire through the project, from planning your home to providing advice on the finishing work. With each home we are willing to incorporate or suggest creative ideas to make your home one of a kind and help you achieve your dream.
We are a member of the International Log Builders Association (ILBA). This association promotes the highest standards of the log building trade.
